Custom Patio Glare Solution in Centerville
Enhancing Comfort with Window Film
TruView Films recently completed a project in Centerville, Ohio, addressing significant glare issues on a custom-built exterior patio. The patio featured unique triangular glass sections, which, while architecturally striking, allowed intense sunlight to create uncomfortable glare. The challenge was to mitigate this glare without compromising the aesthetic or natural light.
Professional Installation Behind Custom Glass
To solve the glare problem, TruView Films collaborated with the glass company responsible for the custom patio construction. The Madico Duralite 30 window film was precisely installed on the interior side of the triangular glass panels. This professional installation, coordinated during the custom glass fitting, ensured a seamless integration of the film.
Understanding Madico Duralite 30This specific application utilized Madico Duralite 30, part of the Sunscape film series. Duralite 30 is engineered for superior glare reduction, allowing ample natural light while significantly diminishing the intensity of direct sunlight. This helps create a more comfortable viewing and living environment on the patio. The film's 30% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) rating means it allows 30% of visible light to pass through, effectively reducing eye strain and improving visibility.
Project Specifics and Benefits
The installation covered 108 square feet across three custom windows. The primary benefit achieved for the Centerville homeowners is a substantial reduction in glare, making the patio area more usable and enjoyable. While the film offers some solar heat control, its main advantage in this case is enhancing visual comfort.
